The motorhome did well on the flat sand around Inskip Point. The only problem we had was getting back up off the beach. We don't really have the raw power of the F100 to just charge off the beach. I went to talk to the Bridgestone Tyre Service dudes who set the trucks up that service Frazer Island. He thought that the dual tyres on the rear were probably the problem as the inside tyres have to cut a second track through the sand. I was seeing the front tyres dig in so I was looking to replace them. His idea was that the front tyres were working well but they can't drag the back tyres through. Between the front wheels digging and the inside rear tyres dragging too much power is being lost. The unfortunate thing is that replacing the tyres to allow singles on the rear is very expensive. Suitable tyres are $600 each!
