Look at the price on this!

Just wandering around looking for information on replacing the dual rear wheels with a single wheel and I found this ad. This vehicle is a couple of years older than the motor home with about half the kilometres on it.

Off to inskip again

We camped at Inskip Point again. The Zu handled the beach effortlessly.

Camping in the Zu at Inskip Point

The motorhome did well on the flat sand around Inskip Point. The only problem we had was getting back up off the beach. We don't really have the raw power of the F100 to just charge off the beach. I went to talk to the Bridgestone Tyre Service dudes who set the trucks up that service Frazer Island. He thought that the dual tyres on the rear were probably the problem as the inside tyres have to cut a second track through the sand. I was seeing the front tyres dig in so I was looking to replace them. His idea was that the front tyres were working well but they can't drag the back tyres through. Between the front wheels digging and the inside rear tyres dragging too much power is being lost.

The unfortunate thing is that replacing the tyres to allow singles on the rear is very expensive. Suitable tyres are $600 each!

This might have been a garbage truck. It definately isn't one now. Now it is a fantastic three level 6x6 motorhome.

The Isuzu can't do this!

These are already motor homes.

A Tundra Buggy would make a good motorhome too.

Except for the speed and altitude sickness a Tundra Buggy would make a fantastic motorhome. Lots of head room, great for parking (on top of other cars), mine site ready and they'll go anywhere (assuming fuel availability).

A Pinzgarer would make a fantastic motorhome. The 6x6 will travel at 100km/h. Take a look at this one demonstrating its offroad capacity. It has excellent clearance and independant suspension.
